EU07 Simulator English forum / Photographs of Polish Engine Cab Views

Does anyone know a source of cabin view photos for Polish rail engines? I am in the process of creating cabviews for Microsoft Train Simulator and have already completed a photoreal cabview for the EU07-001. I am looking in particular for the EN57 and ET series. Thanks for any info.

I find the easiest way to couple is to approach the cars at around 5 kpm and keep hitting the Insert key until locked.

Some scenes allow your to throw switches with the SHFT-L and SHFT-R combo.

Why do you need the the Fly mode. Can't this work by contacting the car from the locomotive view and pressing INSERT 2X? Works for me.

You could grab the SVN update files from BeriOS, but I've been told these are not current. I would like to see this Open Source distribution method re-established, if a t all possible. Perhaps if the dev team would consder 'hiring' other developers to work with the current team.

Nonsense, we're here to help. It's possible that your add-on install didn't place the files in the proper directory. To make certain, use WinRAR to extract the files from it's executable archive and try installing them manually.

That is not the one from the eu07-220204.exe archive. This is the file that I extracted. Copy everything between the dashed lines, paste it into Notepad and save dynamic.dat (NOT as a .txt file).

I have all of the possible versions of the simulator and can find nowhere file 'dynamic.dat'. Where would one find such file?

Progress is slow because we are programming/moddeling in free time, we also have families, work etc.
From about month works are stalled.
Project that you see on BerliOS is built from ground.  We have started writing new simulator core in may so it must take some time to make it useable.

Source Code is avalible through BerliOS SVN server.

Downloading from SVN:

[*]Download TortoiseSVN (SVN shell extension for Windows) http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
[*]Install and restart Windows (it's required to complete configuration of shell extension)
[*]Create directory where you will be keeping simulator source files
[*]Right-click on folder and click on 'SVN Checkout'
[*]In field 'URL of respository' type svn://svn.berlios.de/eu07
[*]Take beer, and drink it while waiting for files download[/list]

I warn that current build on svn is useless (except editor).

Thank you, ShaXbee. I'll install SVN and download the source files now. I also have C++ to compile the modules.

Well, had a chance to drive the SN61-183 with the Euphoria Engine build. Nice!! All went well until I missed a signal and ran the train past the end of the track and nearly off of the cliff. Seems that this baby is a little heavier than the electrics and need a tad more braking room.

Yes. You must have 3d studio max to create a model of this locomotive. You must have a plans and very good photos for texture(for apperance) and must write a file.mmd and a file.chk there is a parameters of train(engine, max speed, weight etc.) In one word: Very Hard :)

You can solve the expensive 3DSMAX problem by using the Freeware GMax. Not as comprehesive as it's commercial brother, but it does the job and the pricetag is favourable.

mostly the same, as in other locos, but:
by + and - you control engine throttle
by / and * you change gears (gears are in this sequence: 0-1-0-2-0-3-0-4)

 Oops! I just just verified that derailing is possible with this build. I was hauling an SM42-174 into the yard for repairs when I accidentally activated a switch while both cars were straddling it. This is the result:

According to the BeriOS Open Source Dev site, EU07 is currently active to date, so my question is, where is it going from here? In my opinion, it's much more comprehensive than either MSTS or RealTrain, and certain better than Makoy BV4, that Japanese train sim where you do nothing more ride in the cab and drive from station to station. Seem to me you have a professional quality train sim here and it's progress is excturiatingly slow. Comments, complaints?

Well if the the Source Code is going to be published then system like CVS (Concurent Versions System) would help the project a lot. First it would speed up the process of developing updates. Here we have many people responsible for different parts of the code, and CVS allows u to upload your work every day to the server, and makes it avilable to the public. I think CVS would be quite usefull for this project, but again lets leave this problem for the authors :)

Hmm, over two years and this idea never got out of the idea phase. I have been using Tortoise CVS for years for Open Source. Please consider it.

I had many problems with the newest NVIDIA drivers with registry malfunctions and registry items loss. So EU07 does not work with my 61.76 version.
I'll try the olders

See my solution to this problem in another post.
You can replace the nvoglnt.dll in your C:\WINDOWS\System32 directory with an older version, which will revert your graphics driver without having to install an entire driver package.

You must wait after pressing for 15-40 seconds - you should hear "click" - this means that the pantograph is fully raised. Then you can proceed to next steps.

Also, press the Space Bar to turn off the warning interlock.
