problem with 3d studio max

Good evening everyone.
I was doing some tests with this program, following the guide that is here . The problem, however, is that I cannot create the ground.
From the create menu, I select shapes and then line , I draw various points to form an area to which I want to apply the terrain. From the scenery Designer panel, I select Delanuay mesh ... and already here I don't understand, instead of having me select the shape created earlier, it makes me create more points. Anyway, I hit make and it gives me this error ..
Any suggestions to solve the problem?

3ds scripting is... old. Do you really need to use it?
Probably the most sensible workflow available is: Rainsted for track editing, Blender scripts for terrain mesh and decoration objects placement with help of inbuilt simulator editor.

(I'm aware that Rainsted interface is.. weird, to say at least, and more so if you don't know Polish, but that's how situation is, sadly :/

Yes, in fact, the Polish language for me is a huge obstacle to overcome. But in reality I am spending time and learning something, surely I am not able to create an itinerary overnight.
Anyway I had read that the scripts were working with the 2020 version of 3ds.
But if there are no updated patience. :)

Don't use that script. Convert closed spline to mesh if you have to make terrain from spline. If any errors during export will pop up, just add triangulate modifier with teselation of 500m or less. Those scripts where writen with max 5-9 in mind with a bit patching to work with later verions. As I used to work in v.17, half of scenery scripts weren't working as intended, especialy importer.
