EU07 Simulator English forum / Odp: Linia 053 Cargo part 1

Thank you, I'll try that next time.

Regarding subtitles, there were almost none at all. Only one call from train manager to driver of the passenger train to depart.

Allright, I got it working a bit further now. The error was to press Shift+1 too early. However, after coupling to the SM42 and pressing Shift+1 nothing happens except for the signal turning green. How should I avoid taking control of the train after coupling?

Hello,
Sorry for starting so many threads. I'm trying to run the scenario Linia 053 Cargo part 1. Starting in the locomotive shed in Debica I go through the station on the shunting signals, then reverse and go back until I get to a red main signal in the other end of the station. There is a train consisting of a SM42+ET22 and coal wagons standing on the track leading to the freight yard, but it won't move and the signal I'm standing at won't change in at least 10 minutes.

The instructions says something about coupling to thhe SM42 but the signal is red, should I pass it? The radio calls isn't subtitled, so maybe somewhere I get permission to pass the red signal?

Thanks, I had it working now. Went from Ozmiek towards Czêstochowa, everything very fine until Herby Stare where I misunderstood the signals (old system?) and derailed on a switch due to excessive speed. I thought two green lights was supposed to mean all clear ahead! ;)

I'll try again tomorrow...

Sounds good. Could you explain how to install the current Linia 61 version? The tab is mostly in Polish and hard to understand, I tried it and the new version wouldn't load, I suppose it became corrupted. I've reinstalled the current Maszyna version now and the old version of Linia 61 works as usual now.

I'm just wondering if there are any additional routes than those included with the simulator?

Line 53 and Line 61 are my two favourite ones, as they have the best scenery. Are they being extended and/or updated? And are there any more good routes available to download, or being built? I've tried to read through the forum, but the language is a bit hard even with Google Translate.

To me, the simulator is very good and the only thing lacking is some more high-quality routes, maybe even real-life based ones! :)

EU07 Simulator English forum / Odp: Traction motor blowers

I understand. So at the highest notch and when using field shunt the resistors are completely bypassed and the fans therefore unnecessary?

Should I accelerate with the second highest notch to keep the fans going or is it normal practice to keep the motor amps around the limit until speed is reached?

I have one quick question about the Polish locomotives. Eu07, Ep09 etc, it's the same on all. When I'm accelerating the cooling fans will start to work harder as the motor amps increase. However, as soon as I increase power into the maximum setting the fans turn off, even though this is when the load is the highest. The same can be heard on the final notch before the second traction motor kicks in. Wouldn't the motors overheat?

I work as a railway dispatcher⁄signaller (not sure what it's called in english, I control the trains from a signal box) in Sweden and have some experience of driving electric locos. On the Swedish Rc locos for example, built between 1960 and 1988, the fans will increase from half to full power when the motor amps goes above about 1000 and then fall back to half power once the amps are below 1000 again. If you put the throttle at max, the fans will go to full power no matter the speed and motor load. But these are thyristor control locos running on AC power so something must be different.

EU07 Simulator English forum / Odp: ERTMS in Poland
« dnia: 31 Lipca 2015, 23:36:24 »
Hi, many thanks for the answer. That explains a lot. It sounds like a much better solution than in Sweden with L2, when it crashes the trains can't go. Very stupid.

EU07 Simulator English forum / ERTMS in Poland

Hello!
I hope this is the right place to ask. I'm a bit curious about ERTMS in Poland. As I understand it some lines have level 1 and others level 2. L is ERTMS+trackside signals, while L2 is supposed to be ERTMS only. However, I'm pretty sure there are lines with L2+signals, such as the Warszaw - Gdansk line. Can someone explain? Does that mean that all trains can travel on L2 lines, even without ETCS cab equipment? And if so what is the difference between L1 and L2 really?

In Sweden where I live L2 means ERTMS only - trains without cab equipment can't use the line and if ERTMS goes down trains can't move. Hope someone can explain!
